24 Feb. 2023

You want to focus on closing deals and growing your business, not on administrative tasks. That's why automating your sales process with ActiveCampaign is so important.

In this article, we'll show you how to automate changing deal stages in the ActiveCampaign pipeline, so you can save time and increase efficiency.

Step 1: Set up your deal stages in ActiveCampaign

Before you can automate changing deal stages, you need to set up your deal stages in ActiveCampaign. If you don't have an account yet, create a 14 days free trial.

Deal stages are the steps in your sales process, from initial contact to closed deal. To set up your deal stages, go to the Deals tab in ActiveCampaign and click on the "Add a Stage" button. From there, you can create, edit, and reorder your deal stages as needed.

Step 2: Create an automation in ActiveCampaign

Once you have your deal stages set up, you can create an automation to automatically move deals through the stages.

To create an automation, go to the Automations tab in ActiveCampaign and click on the "Create an Automation" button. Choose "Start from Scratch" and give your automation a name.

Step 3: Define your trigger

Next, you need to define the trigger that will start the automation. In this case, you can select any of the trigger that help you to automate your process.

For example, if someone schedules a call with your team, based on one specific ActiveCampaign Tag, you can select that behavior as a trigger in your automation. Then, the next step will be move that Deal to a new specific Stage, the stage that you want.

Think correctly about the triggers that you want to use to start your automation every time.

Step 4: Set up the automation

Now that you've defined your trigger, it's time to set up the automation.

Click on the "Add Action" button and choose "Update a Stage". Select the stage you want to move the deal to and click "Save".

You can also add additional actions to the automation, such as sending an email or creating a task.

Step 5: Test and refine

Once you've set up your automation, it's important to test it to make sure it's working correctly. Create a test deal and move it through the stages to see if the automation triggers and moves the deal to the correct stage. If everything looks good, you can start using the automation with your real deals.

Automating changing deal stages in the ActiveCampaign pipeline can save you time and increase efficiency. By following these steps, you can set up an automation that moves deals through your sales process automatically, so you can focus on what really matters: closing deals and growing your business.
